MILWAUKEE -- Police were called out to the scene of a crash that occurred near Jefferson and Knapp in Milwaukee on Wednesday, August 31st.

The crash was called in around 5:20 a.m.

According to police, a 28-year-old woman was driving a vehicle that struck a tree.

The woman was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
