MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Plan Commission has given the go-ahead for a new Sojourner Family Peace Center building.
The building will be on Walnut Street, near 6th Street.
The building will house public and private organizations that provide domestic violence prevention and intervention services.
The total project will cost $22 million.
It will receive over $10 million from the state.
Groundbreaking is expected to happen in August.
