Phil Vassar slated to headline at Festa Italiana July 21st

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Festa Italiana announced Monday, July 1st that singer Phil Vassar will return to Milwaukee's largest Italian festival Sunday, July 21st.

The fun kicks off on Sunday, July 21 on the Spiked Island Adult Lemonade Stage with a whole day of top country performances, including Charissa Mrowka at 2 p.m., Carley Wilemon at 4 p.m., local Milwaukee based-band Chasin’ Mason at 5 p.m., and Old Dominion at 7 p.m.

Previously announced headliners on the Spiked Island Adult Lemonade Stage include country superstar Colt Ford, top touring DJ/remixer Dee Jay Silver, platinum-selling singer-song writer Matt Nathanson, and Grammy-nominated Chicago-bred Plain White T’s.

Vassar has hit the Top 5 seven times with songs like “Carlene,” “Last Day of My Life” and “American Child.”  His latest single, “Love is Alive,” is no exception.  Written with frequent co-writer, award-winning Tom Douglas (“The House That Built Me,” “Little Rock,” “I Run To You”), the new release is a foundation for a much-anticipated new album.
