Pedestrian struck, injured in Village of Paddock Lake

PADDOCK LAKE (WITI) -- A 34-year-old Paddock Lake resident is in custody after striking a pedestrian with his truck on Sunday evening, June 9th.

The accident happened near Hwy. 50 & 250th Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday. The driver of the truck was traveling on 250th Ave. when the truck struck 18-year-old Perry Baughman-Winchester of Paddock Lake who was walking in the roadway. Baughman-Winchester was flown by Flight for Life with serious, but non-life threatening injuries to his legs and additional less serious injuries to other portions of his body.

The 34-year-old driver was taken into custody for knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended causing great bodily harm (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and issued citations for operating while suspended and operating without insurance.

Kenosha authorities say a pair of headphones was found near Baughman-Winchester after the crash. But it's not known if Baughman-Winchester was wearing the headphones at the time of the crash.
