Pedestrian struck by car near N. 27th and Highland Ave.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say a pedestrian was struck by a car near N. 27th and Highland Ave. just before 5:30 p.m.

Police say the pedestrian, a 46-year-old man, sustained head trauma and a broken leg, and was taken to the hospital.

The male driver of the vehicle was initially detained by police, but was eventually released. The vehicle did stay on scene after the crash.
