Pavement repair to close lanes on US 41 southbound in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WITI) -- As part of an emergency pavement repair within the US 41 Menomonee River Bridge project limits, two southbound lanes will be closed between County Q and WIS 167.

The approximately half-mile, double lane closure is expected to last from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. A single lane southbound will remain open at all times.

Some congestion is expected although most evening commuters will be in the northbound direction where all lanes will be open.

However, WisDOT wants to remind all motorists to avoid “gapers delay” which can lead to unnecessary back-ups or traffic incidents.
