Packers receiver Ty Montgomery raises awareness of need for foster parents in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY -- Wednesday, May 25th was a day off for the Green Bay Packers from OTAs, and one player used his free time to raise awareness about the need for foster parents in Wisconsin.

Packers receiver Ty Montgomery was joined by his mother, Lisa in Milwaukee. They're part of a two-year foster parent recruitment campaign by the Coalition for Children, Youth and Families.

As part of the campaign, kids on Wednesday were able to climb a rock wall, signifying how they can reach new heights with foster parents.

Lisa, Ty Montgomery's mother, also raised 17 foster children.

This year alone, the Coalition for Children, Youth and Families expects the state to need 1,500 new foster families.
