Opening weekend: Six Flags Great America to kick off 40th season with Goliath celebration
GURNESS, Illinois (WITI) -- Opening weekend at Six Flags Great America begins with a Goliath celebration and a race to support Warren Township High School and the Rotary Club of Gurnee, the Devil Dash 5K.
During this weekend, one-day general admission tickets are available online at sixflags.com for $19.76 to commemorate the inaugural season of the park.
Six Flags Great America will be launching a full season of heart-pounding coasters, festivals, events, top-tier entertainment and premier guest benefits that ensure a value-packed experience for the entire family.

Ride – Goliath is officially recognized by the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS.
Race – Devil Dash 5K race takes off on Sunday, May 3 at 8 a.m. and tours through the Park.
