One dead following single-vehicle accident on STH 36

MUSKEGO (WITI) -- The Muskego Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning, March 14th on STH 36 near Champions Dr.

According to officials, the Muskego Police Department and the Tess Corners Fire Department responded to the single-vehicle crash around 8:43 a.m.

Upon arrival, officials found a pickup truck several hundred feet off the roadway in a marshy area. The driver, and lone occupant, was found dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver had been traveling westbound on STH 36 before crossing the median, eastbound traffic and going off the road.

While the cause of the accident remains under investigation, authorities believe the driver suffered a medical emergency.

Identification of the driver will be withheld pending notification of relatives.
