One dead after vehicle crashes, bursts into flames in Germantown

GERMANTOWN -- One person was killed after their vehicle burst into flames following a motor vehicle accident early Thursday morning, July 5th.

Officials say the victim was traveling northbound on Mary Buth Lane when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and overturned. After the vehicle overturned it burst into flames.

The driver, also the lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the driver is being withheld pending family notification.
