One arrested, UNC campus on alert for person armed with knife

(CNN) -- The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was briefly put on alert Sunday after police reported a person armed with a knife on campus.

All UNC operations were temporarily suspended.

The person was arrested without incident. No one was injured, a local official said.
