Omega restaurant reopening after brief closure

MILWAUKEE -- The popular "Omega" restaurant on Milwaukee's far south side is opening after temporarily closing its doors on Friday night, November 30th. The restaurant was set to reopen at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

An attorney representing one of the partners that owns the Omega restaurant at 27th and Morgan says the shutdown occurred because of a dispute between two partners.

The disruption began Friday when a city licensing department official sent Milwaukee police an email asking officers to close the restaurant's doors.

After going through several channels, the partners were able to get the restaurant open again.

The entire matter is expected to end up in court on Monday, December 3rd. Again, the restaurant was expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st.
