Officials work to put out fire at Waukesha Iron & Metal

WAUKESHA -- Officials in Waukesha battled a scrap yard fire that took place at Waukesha Iron & Metal located on E. Main street Saturday afternoon, March 12th.

According to Waukesha police, a pile of metal scrap pieces were on fire which took fire crews a while to extinguish due to the nature of the material.

Officials say the fire was called in at approximately 12:45 p.m., and was completely out by 1:20 p.m.

Authorities say there is no substantial damage and no one was injured.

It is unclear what the cause of the fire is at this time.
