Officials say body found in Ixonia cornfield is not Kelly Dwyer



IXONIA (WITI) -- Jefferson County authorities have confirmed to FOX6 that the woman's body found in a Town of Ixonia cornfield on Saturday, March 29th is not that of missing Milwaukee woman Kelly Dwyer.

Officials came to the conclusion after a DNA test. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is continuing to work with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab to identify the body.

An official cause of death has not yet been determined.

The body was initially discovered by a driver passing by the area Saturday afternoon.

At this time, it is unknown how long the body was at the location where it was found. Officials say the body is a female between 4'10" and 5'5", over 127 pounds, under 50 years of age, probably Caucasian, with dark hair, tattoos on her right lower abdomen area and the underside of her right wrist, with a facial stud piercing on the left side below her lip.
