Officials in Greendale approve plans for Marcus theater complex near Southridge Mall
GREENDALE -- Officials in Greendale have approved plans and financial support for the Marcus Corporation to build a movie theater complex near Southridge Mall.
The theater would be built at the northeast corner of the mall's property.
It would initially have eight screens, but could be expanded to include four more.
The complex will feature a restaurant and offer dining in all of the theaters. That's a new concept for Marcus.
The Village of Greendale's Board of Trustees approved spending roughly $1.72 million to support the project through an existing tax incremental financing (TIF) district.
