Oconomowoc woman wins Lottery's $6.3 Megabucks jackpot
OCONOMOWOC -- Saying she "hasn't slept in days" a very tired and relieved Betty Christopherson of Oconomowoc Monday, October 8th validated the winning jackpot ticket from the Wisconsin Lottery's $6.3 million Megabucks drawing on October 3rd.
Christopherson bought her $6.3 million winning quick-pick ticket at Kwik Trip -- located at 1220 Brown Street, Oconomowoc. The winning numbers were 02, 11, 20, 22, 26, 41.
The retired Christopherson chose to take the $6.3 million jackpot's one-time lump sum cash amount of $4.68 million. She will receive $3.15 million after taxes.
For selling the $6.3 million winning ticket Kwik Trip earns a $100,000 commission. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum of $100,000.
Christopherson has agreed to take part in a news conference on Tuesday, October 9th.
