Nicholas Olson sentenced to one year probation, restitution
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Nicholas Olson on Friday, February 8th to one year probation. This, after Olson pleaded guilty in January to one county of disorderly conduct.
Olson admitted to scrawling a bomb threat in a bathroom at Greendale High School during Homecoming week. He wrote “3 DAYS TIL BOOM JK OR AM I?” on a bathroom wall at Greendale High School on Thursday, September 20, 2012. The message was discovered and Greendale police were immediately contacted.
Detectives used school video surveillance, handwriting comparisons and interviews to narrow down the suspects. Olson was taken into custody on Tuesday, September 25th.
The threat forced school officials to move the GHS Homecoming Dance to the Greendale Middle School.
In addition to the probation and restitution, Olson was ordered not to have any contact with Greendale High School. He must also continue mental health counseling.
