Devil’s Food Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ cup margarine
2/3 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
In a bowl, stir flour, cocoa, powder, soda and salt. In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Stir in flour and milk, alternating until all are blended. Add vanilla.
Place in two greased 8 or 9-inch pans. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
Butter frosting directions: Combine the below.
½ cup margarine
2-3 tbsp. warm milk
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ cup cocoa
2 cups powdered sugar
