Mulligan's Pub & Dining in Delavan damaged following fire

DELAVAN (WITI) -- Mulligan's Pub & Dining located on Highway 11 on the north side of Delavan is damaged following an early morning fire Wednesday, July 3rd. Mulligan's recently reopened in this location after being destroyed in a five-alarm fire back in March of 2010.

According to officials, The Delavan Fire Department received a call from the owner at approximately 5:30 a.m. regarding a fire in the basement. When officials arrived on the scene, the building was engulfed in smoke and flames.

Authorities say it took 15 fire crews nearly three hours to get the blaze under control.

Fire officials say the pub sustained moderate to severe damage throughout the building, and say it is a total loss.

No additional details have been released at this time -- including the cause of the fire or the amount of damage sustained.

Fire officials say the fire does not appear suspicious in nature.
