Motorcyclist injured in crash in Lake Geneva; alcohol and speed appear to be factors
LAKE GENEVA -- Lake Geneva police on Sunday, March 6th were dispatched to the area of Grant and Williams for a report of a motorcycle crash.
Upon arrival, officers observed one motorcycle that was involved in the crash. The operator, a 49-year-old Town of Geneva man, sustained severe injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
The initial investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling northbound in the 1200 block of Williams Street when he lost control of the motorcycle, struck a curb -- and was ejected from the motorcycle. Police believe speed and alcohol are contributing factors to the crash.
The City of Lake Geneva Police Department was assisted by the Lake Geneva Fire and EMS Departments, Town of Geneva Police Department, Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Flight for Life.
