Motorcyclist dies after collision with van in parking lot

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- A crash between a motorcycle and van in the parking lot of Porcaro Ford on Friday afternoon, September 13th, has resulted in the death of the motorcyclist.

The accident happend around 1:30 p.m. when a Porcaro Ford employee was driving a motorcycle in the parking lot and collided head-on with a van. The driver of the motorcycle became trapped underneath the van.

The motorcycle driver, 20-year-old Ryan Herman of Caledonia, was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the van, 54-year-old Jospeh Schack of Milwaukee, was not injured in the incident. No citations have been issued at this time.

The accident is still under investigation.
