Mitchell Park celebrates all things dog at 8th Annual Wagfest

BROOKFIELD -- Organizers call it a mini festival for dogs. The 8th Annual Wagfest took place in Brookfield on Saturday, September 12th and it was all about the pooches!

The event is sponsored by the Elmbrook Humane Society and was held at Mitchell Park -- admission was also free!

There was plenty of food and beverages for both humans and dogs as well as 73 vendors selling all sorts of dog-friendly items.

"This event brings in $35,000-$40,000 for us. It certainly makes up a good percentage of our budget and allows us to keep doing what we're doing in the community," said Heather Gehrke, Elmbrook Humane Society.
