Missing Fond du Lac County man returns home safely

FOND DU LAC -- The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says 64-year-old Joseph Ditter, the man reported missing on Thursday, September 6th, has returned home safely.

The Sheriff's Office says they received a call around 12:35 a.m. Friday, September 7th from Ditter's mother indicating that he had returned home.

According to police, Ditter had gone to his parents’ home on County Highway W in the Village of Dotyville on Wednesday, September 5th. Around 8 p.m., he left the home on foot and failed to return -- prompting his parents to contact police.
