Milwaukee Public Library closed during holiday weekend

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Public Library will be closed Friday, August 29th through Monday, September 1st.

Friday, August 29th is a city-mandated furlough day. The library will remain closed on Saturday, August 30th, as well as Monday, September 1st in observance of Memorial Day.

The Milwaukee Public Library is not open on Sundays from May to September.

Zablocki Library, located on W. Oklahoma Ave., will have limited service until September 22nd. This library, is currently undergoing a carpet replacement project until September 22nd. During this time, the library building will be closed. Library users can pick up holds and return items using the courtyard entrance to the building.

Zablocki Library users are also  encouraged to use these three other libraries during this time:


    Library users may access accounts, renew items, request a hold, check out e-books, and access other digital media services online through the weekend.
