Milwaukee police investigate shooting near Teutonia & Townsend

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were called to the scene of shooting near Teutonia and Townsend on Friday, June 21st, around 9 a.m.

According to police, a black male suspect entered the corner store, approached a 22-year-old male employee and shot him.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and is not in police custody at this time.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but authorities say it appears the suspect and victim may have been acquaintances.
