Milwaukee police arrest three men after hearing gunshots on city's north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested three suspects after hearing gunshots on Milwaukee’s north side.

According to Milwaukee police, officers were at the intersection of N. 27th Street and W. Townsend Street around 10:50 p.m. on May 6th when they heard several gunshots south of their location.

The officers quickly spotted a vehicle on the west side of N. 27th Street and saw a suspect’s arm extended out of the vehicle and firing more shots before throwing the gun out of the car.

The officers stopped the car and took the three occupants into custody. The gun used was found in a yard in the 3300 block of N. 27th Street.

The suspects are a 19-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Milwaukee. MPD will present charges in this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
