Milwaukee police arrest suspect in taxi cab robbery

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say they arrested a woman suspect in the armed robbery of a taxi cab driver. The entire crime was caught on camera -- and seen first on FOX6 News.

According to the cab company, American United Taxi, the woman was picked up at Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee just after 2 a.m. Thursday, May 3rd. She was at first friendly, asking the driver questions about his job.

However, a few minutes into the ride, the woman pulled out a gun, and demanded cash.  She demanded the driver not look at her. Little did she know, her face was already captured on camera.

Milwaukee police say they were able to identify the woman thanks to the driver's description of a tattoo on her hand. The woman was arrested at home, and admitted to police that she robbed the driver.

American United Taxi was offering a $500 cash reward in this case.
