Milwaukee County home sales jump; suburban counties lag

MILWAUKEE -- June was a good month for home sales in the Milwaukee area, climbing 5.4 percent.

In Milwaukee County, more than 1,300 homes were sold last month -- a 14 percent jump compared to June 2015.

Surrounding counties didn't see a similar boost.

Home sales fell in Waukesha and Washington Counties, while Ozaukee County held flat.

The Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors says fewer suburban homes are for sale, and lack homes listed for less than $350,000 in those surrounding counties.
