Milwaukee Business Journal: Packers Titletown District advancing behind the scenes

GREEN BAY -- The Milwaukee Business Journal reports that representatives of the Green Bay Packers may meet with officials from the village of Ashwaubenon in mid-January to discuss plans for the team's Titletown District development near Lambeau Field.

A meeting to draft plans for the 34-acre entertainment, commercial and recreational district has not been officially scheduled.

A discussion will help advance the Packers' development efforts that will include a Kohler Co. hotel, a sports medicine clinic and a Hinterland brew pub.

Little work has been done on the site since a team office was demolished a few weeks ago, but officials hope to start construction next summer -- with it opening in September 2017.
