Milwaukee Brewers ranked 16th for total attendance during 2016 season

MILWAUKEE -- Despite being the smallest metropolitan market in Major League Baseball, and a less-than-successful season, the Milwaukee Brewers ranked 16th for total attendance in 2016.

That tops much larger markets like Philadelphia, Miami and even the Chicago White Sox.

Overall, the Brewers drew more than 2.3 million fans.

That's nearly a 10 percent drop from 2015, which Brewers executives expected as the team launched a major rebuilding effort.
