Man turns himself in, tells police he was involved in lighting up "Roman candle mini-gun" over lake

SOUTH MILWAUKEE -- South Milwaukee police tell FOX6 News a man has turned himself in in connection with video that shows two people lighting up a "Roman candle mini-gun" in Grant Park. More than a thousand fireworks were shot off in just 45 seconds along Lake Michigan.

We're told the man confessed to being the man behind the video. He will now be cited.

Police say the incident allegedly occurred on Sunday, January 3rd -- just north of the Main Beach area.

The video shows two guys along the lakefront shooting off more than a thousand Roman candles with a giant launcher.

"It was neat, but it didn't look very safe to be honest," Natalie Gajewski said.

The video, licensed by ViralHog.com, has been viewed more than 200,000 times.

It has also caught the attention of police, who said they were looking for the men in the video. Fireworks cannot be shot off in the city, so the man who has now turned himself in will receive a $320 citation.

Police say no one was injured in this incident, and they say there was no damage done to any property.
