Man transported via Flight for Life after Amish buggy overturns

SHAWANO -- Shawano County Sheriff's officials responded to an overturned Amish buggy on State Highway 45 near Gollnow Road in the Township of Grant Sunday afternoon, July 15th.

Officials say it appears the horse pulling the buggy became spooked while going down the road and bolted into the ditch. The buggy's wheel was torn off, causing the buggy to overturn.

Two of the six people in the buddy were injured as a result of the incident.

A man was taken by Flight for Life to a Green Bay hospital and a femal was treated and released at the scene.

The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time, and officials have not yet released the names of those injured.
