Man found dead on frozen retention pond in Beaver Dam
BEAVER DAM (WITI) -- Beaver Dam police say a man was found dead on a frozen retention pond on Tuesday afternoon, January 21st.
The man was found in the 1600 block of N. Spring Street in Beaver Dam.
The Dodge County Medical Examiner pronounced the man dead around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday -- but it was determined that the man had been dead for several hours.
An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.
A cause of death has not yet been determined, and police are working to confirm the identity of the victim.
Police do not believe foul play was responsible for this man's death.
Police say they also discovered a vehicle left unoccupied and running on a street near the retention pond, and are looking into whether that vehicle is connected to his case.
