Man charged for using spy camera to film stepdaughter
BURLINGTON (WITI) -- A 55-year-old Burlington man is facing one count of capturing an image of nudity without consent, one count of invasion of privacy with a surveillance device and one count of disorderly conduct. This, after he allegedly placed a spy camera inside the bathroom in his home with the intent to capture images of his 18-year-old stepdaughter.
According the criminal complaint, the mother of the 18-year-old girl discovered a video of her daughter getting into the shower on their family computer on August 24th. At the end of the video, the woman claims she saw her husband, the man charged in this case, go into the bathroom near a clock. That same clock was plugged into the computer.
According to the criminal complaint, the accused admitted that he placed a clock in the bathroom with a concealed camera with the intent to videotape his stepdaughter because he was "just curious."
The accused was later charged with one count of felony bail jumping for failing to comply with the terms of his bond.
