Man accused of stealing, burning Beatrice sentenced to prison in separate case out of Waukesha Co.
WAUKESHA COUNTY (WITI) -- He's accused of stealing and then burning Beatrice the dog, and on Wednesday, October 8th, Christopher Hanson was sentenced in a separate case out of Waukesha County.
In that case, 21-year-old Hanson faced three felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.
Hanson pleaded no contest to a felony charge of misappropriating ID information to obtain money. Felony charges of forgery and fraud against a financial institution, along with a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping were dismissed.
On Wednesday, October 8th, Hanson was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and three years of extended supervision.
Hanson received credit for 182 days served.
He has also been ordered to pay restitution.
In the case involving Beatrice, Hanson faces two felony charges: theft of movable property and mistreatment of animals.
Hanson is set to stand trial in that case, to begin on October 23rd.
