Loved ones remember Erin Ziemendorf during funeral Monday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The funeral for 30-year-old Erin Ziemendorf of West Allis was held on Monday, November 11th.
Ziemendorf’s body was found in the trunk of a car near a Greyhound bus station in Chicago on October 27th.
The suspect in this case, 40-year-old Matthew McDowell, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, November 5th to charges of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse — and will stand trial in the case against him.
In a statement released by the Sojourner Family Peace Center, the family of Ziemendorf wants others to know that "Erin was a wonderful mother who loved her son more than anything in life. She had a witty sense of humor and often made others laugh through her Facebook postings. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved watching Admirals games with her father."
