Lohse pitches Crew to 9-1 win over Phillies

MILWAUKEE -- Kyle Lohse pitched an 8 inning masterpiece as the Milwaukee Brewers made it 3 straight wins over the Philadelphia Phillies, 9-1 on Sunday at Miller Park.
Lohse (2-6) allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 6 and walking only 1.
In the first inning, the Phils had 3 hits but didn't score thanks to Nori Aoki's throw to cut down a runner at home). Lohse went on to retire 16 batters in a row.
Scooter Gennett knocked in his first 2 major league runs with his first ever triple to highlight a 4 run 2nd inning. Lohse-who won his first game since April 22nd-then drove him home with a safety squeeze.
Carlos Gomez clobbered a 2-run homer, his team-leading 11th, on his bobblehead day.
Winners of 6 of their last 10, the Brewers open a 9 game road trip in Miami on Monday night.
Ryan Braun may have to sit out the game with that sore thumb; he was taken out of Sunday's game in the 3rd inning.
