Lightning, thunder reported as storm brings rain, sleet, snow to SE WI

The precipitation was expected to change over to snow.

FOX6 Weather Expert Tom Wachs confirmed "thundersnow" in Dodge County on Monday evening, and lightning in Milwaukee and Racine counties.

Wachs said some areas were seeing very heavy precipitation, especially northwest of Milwaukee.

Roads were getting slick on Monday evening as the precipitation fell.

The precipitation was expected to last until early Tuesday morning.

The We Energies Power Outage Map as of 7:30 p.m. was showing multiple outages in Milwaukee, with more than 2,000 without power.

We Energies officials told FOX6 News the outages are the result of a "broken insulator pin." It's unclear whether these outages were weather-related.
