Law enforcement agencies to monitor sex offenders on Halloween
MADISON -- The Wisconsin Department of Corrections will be working with law enforcement agencies this Halloween to closely monitor sex offenders on probation or parole. Their mission -- to keep children safe during trick-or-treat activities.
Teams of probation and parole agents and law enforcement officers will conduct random home visits of high risk sex offenders. Any sex offenders in violation of the “Halloween Restrictions” will be placed into custody.
Parents can get to know the neighborhood by going to the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry web site and conducting a zip code search.
If the public sees any possible violations, they can call in the tip at 1-877-234-0085.
