TMZ is reporting the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office has declined to prosecute Momma Dee based on a lack of evidence in this case.

It was reported that Momma Dee, the mother of rapper Lil Scrappy, was out with friends in Milwaukee to celebrate her birthday -- and when a bill for around $500 came to the table, no one wanted to cough up the cash, according to TMZ.

TMZ spoke with Momma Dee, who said her arrest was just a big misunderstanding -- telling TMZ she had every intention of paying her tab.

Momma Dee told TMZ she was in the bathroom when the check came, and everyone in her party had left the restaurant. When she came back from the bathroom -- Momma Dee said she was "bombarded" by restaurant managers and police officers who claimed she was dining and ditching, according to TMZ.

Additionally, she says although it was her birthday, the dinner wasn't planned specifically for her, and she was just an invited guest to dinner. Momma Dee told TMZ she was willing to pay her part of the check, but she wouldn't pay for the others, and that's when she was arrested.

Dee was held behind bars for a few hours and released after posting a $250 bail.
