Kelly Duke pleads not guilty in fatal hit-and-run crash

MILWAUKEE -- The teen accused of causing a fatal crash on New Year's Day pleads not guilty. Kelly Duke entered the plea in court Friday morning.

Duke is charged with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. Prosecutors say he crashed into a car at 27th and St. Paul, killing Edwin and Jean Thaves of New Berlin.

Duke ran from the scene but was turned into police by family members.
In court Friday, Duke also waived his right to a preliminary hearing. That means he will be bound over for trial at a later date.
