"It's mammoth:" Garth Brooks to perform two shows at BMO Harris Bradley Center in September

MILWAUKEE -- Garth Brooks is slated to perform two shows at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in September. The shows will mark his first visit to Milwaukee in 19 years.

Brooks will perform on Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th. The concerts are part of the ongoing Garth Brooks World Tour. The tour is the country legends' first major tour since announcing in 2001 his hiatus to raise his family.

"I'm sure his Wisconsin fans are just ecstatic. He promised he was coming back and he is coming back," said Bradley Center Vice President, Paul Jensen.

With the tour announcement, Jensen and company opened up the vault and brought out a Garth Brooks signed guitar from the country icon's last visit.

"I think Garth had a great experience when he was here 19 years ago. I think he remembers that. He wants to come back to Wisconsin. He has some great fans here," said Jensen.

106.1's Kerry Wolfe was at Brooks' three-day stop back in '96. He says he knew Brooks was targeting Milwaukee, but got the final word on Tuesday.

"Literally, I got a call yesterday morning at about this time and said Garth is coming and I want you to announce it at 7:15," said Senior Vice President of Programming at 106.1, Kerry Wolfe.

"Listeners are just so excited to get their tickets and hoping that they can make the show. But it's mammoth," said Karen Delessandro, FM106.1 Morning Show.

All tickets for both shows will be sold at $74.98, inclusive of tax and fees, for every seat in the house. Back in 1996, tickets were going for as low as $17.

Tickets will go on sale August 28th online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks, or by phone from Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849 or 1- 800-745-3000.

There will be no sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on August 28th.

Brooks last played the BMO Harris Bradley Center April 11-13, 1996.
