I-43 SB lanes reopen after motorcycle, two cars collide

MILWAUKEE --The southbound lanes of I-43 near Hampton Avenue have reopened after a motorcycle and two cars collided Wednesday morning.

Officials say the accident happened at 7:37 a.m. Initially, the two left lanes on southbound I-43 were closed, creating lengthy delays. The accident was cleared shortly before 9 a.m.

Authorities say the driver of the motorcycle complained of head and leg pain, but was conscious and breathing when medical personnel were attending to him. He was transported to Froedtert Hospital for his injuries.

No further details have been released at this time -- including the cause of the accident or any other injuries.
