I-43 bridges project closures to resume the week of July 8th


MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reminding motorists that overnight and long-term lane and ramp closures will resume the week of July 8 on I-43 between Howard Avenue and the Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee County.

The evening of July 8, the long-term closure of the I-794 Westbound to I-43 Southbound (SB) system ramp in the Marquette Interchange will remain in place until late August.  Motorists are encouraged to continue to use an alternate route or follow the detour to I-43 Northbound (NB), exit 1C, to the Fond du Lac Ave./McKinley Ave. interchange, exit 73A, to proceed to I-43 SB

.The long-term single lane closure on I-43 SB will also resume from the Marquette Interchange to Becher St. beginning the week of July 8. Southbound motorists should consider using an alternate route to avoid delays.Drivers should also be aware of the following planned short-term closures in the area:
