MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A huge milestone for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin on Thursday, June 12th. The organization made its 5,000th wish come true!
The wish came from 11-year-old Hailee Hedstrom of Greendale.
Hailee, who lives with cystic fibrosis, wished to have her own clubhouse where she can play and hang out with her friends.
Hailee arrived in style -- riding in a limo.
Then, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony where her wish was unveiled.
"I didn't think it would look anything like that. I mean, I was expecting it to be awesome -- but that's awesomer!" Hailee said.
It took Make-A-Wish Wisconsin 30 years to get to their 5,000th wish granted.
Their first wish was granted to 11-year-old Tina, who wished to meet Michael Jackson.
Tina is now 41 years old.
