House fire in City of Sheboygan sends two residents, one firefighter to the hospital

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Three people were hurt as a result of a house fire in the City of Sheboygan early Sunday, November 16th.

The Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to the home on S. 13th St. just before 2 a.m. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they were told all four people living in the two-story, single family house had gotten out safely.

Although the fire was intense enough to destroy the room where it started, the quick response enabled firefighters to limit extension elsewhere.

One firefighter on scene was injured while slipping on the ice -- and two of the four residents were taken to the hospital to be assessed for smoke inhalation.

The estimated damage to the building and its contents is listed at $40,000.
