hhgregg closing 3 stores in Milwaukee area, 2 in Green Bay area, 1 in Illinois

"At hhgregg, we pride ourselves in being focused on serving our customers in the best possible way. As a natural course of business, we regularly evaluate our real estate positions to determine when and where new store openings, relocations, or at times closings make the most sense for our customers and our company.

That said, we are closing our stores in southeastern Wisconsin (three stores in the Milwaukee area and two stores in the Green Bay area) as well as the store in Vernon Wells, IL. All associates impacted by this change will have the opportunity to work in another hhgregg location if they desire, or choose to work with a work placement company.

These closings, along with the recent announcement of restructuring our distribution network, allow us to continue driving the company towards profitability and growth with our launch of 25-30 new Fine Lines specialty store openings over the next two years.

hhgregg will proceed with more than 200 stores operating regionally across the United States and we look forward to continuing to offer customers unmatched value and award-winning service at all of our other locations and on hhgregg.com.
