Headed for NYC: Greendale High School Marching Band prepares for Macy's parade

GREENDALE -- Excitement is growing for the Greendale High School Marching Band.

In addition to winning their 12th consecutive state championship, they're headed to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

FOX6 News got to sit in on one of the band's rehearsals on Wednesday evening, October 19th.

The marching band actually applied to be in the parade a year-and-a-half ago. Out of the 175 high school bands that applied, only seven made it -- including Greendale.
