"Happy to help:" Heads Up Salon offers free haircuts for Locks of Love donation

GREENFIELD -- "Heads Up Salon" in Greenfield offered free haircuts to anyone willing to donate their hair to Locks of Love on Saturday, April 16th.

The event ran from 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. and required those donating to chop off at least 10-inches or more.

The salon was hoping to collect 20 ponytails in total -- which would make between two and three hairpieces for children in need.

"They're going through such a stressful time and just a little something to make them feel a bit better, we're happy to help," said Heads Up Salon Owner, Francis Mayhew.

Locks of Love is a non profit organization that provides hairpieces for children suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions.
