Gunman fires at Madison bus, shatters window

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police are looking for a shooter who fired a gun at a Metro Transit bus, shattering a window. No one was hurt.

Police say the bus was traveling on the city's north side Friday, March 23rd around 9:15 p.m. when the shot was fired.

Sgt. Cindy Mierow says she's not immediately aware how many people were on the bus at the time.

Madison Metro Transit spokesman Mick Rusch says police plan to examine footage from the five bus cameras, two of which point to the outside of the vehicle. He said he didn't immediately know how much repairs would cost.

Police haven't identified a suspect, although one person has been cited for obstructing the investigation.
